Prince Louis once again captured hearts and headlines during VE Day celebrations in London, proving heâs fast becoming the royal familyâs most relatable seven-year-old.
As people across the UK marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day â commemorating Germanyâs surrender and the end of World War II in Europe â young Louis found himself front and centre alongside his brother Prince George. The solemn occasion was marked with parades, tributes, and military processions, but it was Louisâ reactions that kept audiences entertained!
In classic Louis fashion, the royal youngster offered another iconic moment during the proceedings â this time with an expertly timed eye-roll and a dash of dry sarcasm.
According to professional lip reader Nicola Hickling, Louis was caught on camera asking his father, Prince William, a perfectly deadpan question: âIsnât this supposed to be fun?â
Hickling, founder of LipReader Ltd, shared with The Express what she believes was said during a brief exchange between father and son as the Armed Forces marched past them.
William reportedly said to Louis: âThey are grabbing their bars, isnât it great?â to which Louis responded, matter-of-factly: âThey are marching straight.â

William then tried to keep his son engaged, asking whether he could see the troops turning or lining up. Louis replied: âTheyâre going in a circle.â
Itâs a reminder to every parent that even future kings deal with sarcastic kids.
Unsurprisingly, Louisâ reactions went viral once again. One X user wrote: âOh, the baby brother eye roll. I think we shall hopefully continue to get Prince Louis antics much into the future.â Another chimed in: âPrince Louis and his eye roll. Haha!â
Despite the challenges heâs faced â like the loss of his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his motherâs recent cancer diagnosis â Prince Louis continues to win fans with his humor, honesty, and undeniable charm.
