NFL fans demand Carrie Underwood performs Super Bowl 60 halftime show after Donald Trump inauguration performance
Grammy-winning rapperย Kendrick Lamarย performed theย halftime show ofย Super Bowlย 59ย between theย Kansas City Chiefsย andย Philadelphia Eagles.
He was joined by special guest and R&B singerย SZAย as the performance was praised by fans.
After the Eaglesโ 40-22 win over the Chiefs,ย NBCย posted on X, promotingย nextย seasonโsย Super Bowlย which will be broadcast on their network and set to take place at Leviโs Stadium in Santa Clara,ย California.
Plenty of fans in the comments shared theirย opinionย that the formerย American Idolย winner Underwood should perform at halftime.
โWe want a halftime show withย Carrie Underwood,โ one wrote.
โNextย year the Super Bowl halftime show needs to have Carrie!โ another added.
โNext year, the Superbowl halftime show will feature Morgan Wallen & Carrie Underwood in a musical reboot of โThe Dukes of Hazzard,โ a third added.
Underwood being part of anย NBCย production would make plenty of sense.
The 41-year-old has sung the theme song of NBCโs Sunday Nightย Footballย every year since 2013.
Unfortunately for Underwood, the eight-time Grammy winner suffered a huge technical error during her inauguration performance.
There were several seconds of awkward silence on live TV when the music for America The Beautiful was supposed to be playing.
Underwood, and the whole room, seemed confused at the sequence.
She then belted out the tune acapella and received mostly positive reviews for her performance.
However, after the mishap,ย a source told The U.S. Sun, that Underwood has been โsecond-guessingโ agreeing to sing at the ceremony.
Theย NFLย usually announces the Super Bowl halftime performer during the regular season.
The league announced in September that the 22-time Grammy winner Lamar would headline the Super Bowl 59 halftime show in New Orleans.
During his performance,ย a protestor was spotted on the stage at the Caesars Superdomeย waving a combined Palestinian and Sudanese flag
The individual, a man, appeared out there for several minutes before being noticed by security.
He then jumped off the stage and ran onto the field before being tackled by a security worker.
The protestor was detained but will not face charges, the New Orleansย policeย revealed.
The man, however, has been banned from all 32ย NFLย stadiums.
