Starting 42 minutes later than planned due to technical difficulties, the interview former president Donald Trump gave onย Xย was heard by over 1 million people. It has been said thatย Elon Muskย expected around 8 million people to join in the talk that Trump dubbed the โgreatest interview ever.โ
Theย Xย owner andย Teslaย CEO has been a supporter of Trump, and he showed that again when he joined the former president on the stage at his high-profile rally in Butler, Pennsylvania โ the same placeย Trumpย was nearly assassinated in July.
The billionaire was seen wearing a hat with โMake America Great Againโ written on it and his signature โOccupy Marsโ shirt.
Trump started the discussion giving detailed insight of the assassination attempt on him. He then accused the Democrats for violently replacing Baden on the presidential ticket with Musk commenting, that theย partyย โtook [Biden] out back behind the shed and basically shot him.โ
Further, Trump tackled the issue of inflation, saying, โI think we have the worst inflation weโve had in 100 yearsโฆ bacon costing four or five times more than it did a few years ago.โ
As expected, he attacked his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, for various issues, including immigration, saying that the current government has let criminals and non-productive people cross the border and get into the States. He also stated that Harris was becoming aย โradical left, San Francisco liberalโฆ and now she wants to be more Trump than Trump.โ
Trump left many stunned with his statement that domestic โenemiesโ were โmore dangerousโ than foreign, declaring that North Korean, Chinese, and Russian leaders wereย โat the top of their game.โ
โThey are tough, they are smart and they are vicious,โย he said.
Trump claimed that American farmers struggled to sell their products abroad and that selling US cars in Europe was โimpossible.โ He also exaggerated the US aid to Ukraine and downplayed
Europeโs contributions in its conflict with Russia. However, most of the claims he made were dubbed false by the media following his interview.
โWe have a deficit with [the EU] of $250 billion, which people donโt know,โย the former president stated. โIt sounds so niceโโthe European Unionโ. But let me tell you: theyโre not as tough as China, but theyโre bad. And I let them know it, and thatโs probably why they notified you. No, they donโt treat our country well.โ
Though Musk shares many political views with Trump, his support for him throughout the recent years has been off again, on again.

The two, however, agreed on the issue of COVID19 and were against restrictions. Further, their bond got stronger after Muskโs companies faced a number of federal investigations over employment practices, his takeover of Twitter and claims about Teslaโs autopilot feature under Bidenโs administration.
Speaking toย Yahoo News,ย ย journalist and conspiracy theory expert Mike Rothschildย spoke of Trumpโs change of election landscape, which is becoming increasingly less reliant on traditional media.
โNew voters, the people who are just getting involved in the electoral process, those are people you can reach through streamers, through podcasts, through influencers. So itโs a very smart strategy,โ Rothschild told the outlet. โItโs not the hour-long cable news special, itโs not the press conference. โฆ Trump himself has completely upended what it means to be campaigning.โ
Following the two-hour long interview, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign said that Trumpโsย โextremismโย was onย โfull display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight.โ
โTrumpโs entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himselfโself-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class.โ
