WOW! It must have been destiny that Acacia and Aaliyah were paired up by Simon as this audition feels like they’ve been singing for years!!
The two teenagers absolutely ace their cover of ‘Bang Bang’ by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
At first these two teenagers didn’t show their best in their solo auditions. As soon as Simon paired them up, their performance was electric!
What happened then? Simon stopped both their performances in the middle. While Cowell thought it was not a good song choice for Aaliyah, he took Acacia backstage to talk to her in private. He convinced the young ladies to perform together. Simon Cowell pairs up with them and shocks the audience with their incredible comeback.
Aaliyah Robinson who is just 14 and Acacia K. who is just 15 are two gifted teen singers. Both girls auditioned for the British X Factor in September 2018. The saddest thing is that neither of their initial auditions showed off their real talent.
Simon Cowell stopped Aaliyah halfway saying that the song wasn’t right for her. He said she should choose another song and come back with that one.
“Go away, come back, blow us away and have your moment,” judge Robbie Williams told her.
Acacia was a strong singer, but Simon ended her audition early too. This decision confused everybody sitting there. But then, Simon left his seat and went backstage. That’s when the audience and the other judges knew he had a plan.
The young ladies performed “Bang Bang” by Jessie J. and Ariana Grande. Aaliyah sang her heart out, and Acacia did an amazing job performing the rap portion of the song.
Aaliyah and Acacia continued having a few more songs on the road as they continued in the X Factor competition.In the end, Aaliyah and Acacia placed fourth in the competition. Since the ending of X Factor , the duo have been performing together through the UK and the US.
