The long haul, the large stage, and the glaring lights. Despite everything, Brent Street, the dancing trio who had a spectacular Americaβs Got Talent audition on Tuesday, June 25, remained unfazed.
The Sydney-based modern troupeβs performance was utterly captivating and a combination of magic and drama.
The more than twenty dancers, all clad in white, wowed the audience with a combination of strength, grace, timing, and synchronization as they swept through many smooth performances to the song βHopeβ by rapper NF.
The invention was praised by Simon Cowell as cerebral. βIt was what they were doing with their brains, because this was such a well thought out creative, original performance,β he said, in addition to what they were doing with their bodies. On the show, that is βthe kind of audition we love.β
Zack Degersigny, 17, the leader of the teenage group, acknowledged that the performance had been planned for months.
The final word went to Howie Mandel. βEverything you did struck me as incredible. It was unexpected. Mandel had a surprise of his own; as he struck the Golden Buzzer, glitter flew from the ceiling.
The Brent Street crew, which bills itself as βAustraliaβs Home of Performing Arts,β advances in NBCβs search for new talent.
