pianist, celebrated with numerous awards and sharing stages with respected orchestras.
KlΓ‘ra GibiΕ‘ovΓ‘ has performed at prestigious venues, including a remarkable show at St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. Although the audienceβs applause is rewarding, she often waits for her teacherβs feedback to know if her performance met the mark.
βI wait to hear from my teacher if it was good because sometimes I canβt quite tell,β says KlΓ‘ra.
She first touched a piano at just three years old, picking out tunes by ear without reading notes. βI remember playing *The Cat Climbing Through the Hole* with just one finger,β she recalls.
By five, she was performing in concerts, though she needed help just to reach the piano bench. Her audiences were captivated by her passionate playing.
KlΓ‘ra began formal piano training around age seven, initially learning pieces by listening to recordings from lessons. βWe used to record the sessions so I could practice at home. Only recently did I start reading music,β she explains.
The joy of learning new pieces keeps her motivated. βMost of the time, my teacher selects the pieces, but sometimes she gives me options to choose from. I love the fast ones the most,β she says.
Enjoy this remarkable young pianistβs rendition of Haydnβs finale from the *Piano Concerto in D Major*!
