In 2013, Phillips underwent gastric bypass surgery as part of her treatment plan. This major procedure was essential in jump-starting her journey toward significant weight loss. However, surgery alone wasnβt enough to guarantee lasting changeβit required strict adherence to a new lifestyle.

Phillips embraced the challenges that came with the surgery by learning about proper nutrition, portion control, and staying accountable for her choices. βI stay on track by staying away from simple carbs, such as soda, sugar, chips, and processed foods,β she noted.
To ensure she maintained her progress, Phillips meticulously logged her meals and prepped her food in advance. Additionally, she committed to a daily regimen of at least 10,000 steps and regular workouts at the gym. Her dedication brought remarkable results.
