Music legend Elton John has officially ended his touring career, closing a remarkable chapter that spanned over five decades. The 76-year-old artist performed his final concert at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena, marking the end of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, a journey that captivated millions worldwide.

Reflecting on his career during the emotional finale, Elton expressed his deep gratitude to his fans. “Words can’t fully capture how extraordinary my journey has been,” he shared before ending the show with “Your Song” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” “For 52 years, I’ve been lucky enough to create music and perform live, but none of it would’ve been possible without you. You supported me, bought my records, and filled my concerts with life. Performing has been my greatest joy.”

After the performance, Elton took time to thank his fans for their unwavering support. “You’ve been with me every step of the way, showing patience, loyalty, and love,” he said in a statement. “Tonight was unforgettable, and though it’s hard to say goodbye to touring, I’ll always carry the memories of your love and enthusiasm in my heart.”

The night was filled with surprises, including a heartfelt video message from Coldplay’s Chris Martin. “Elton, from every artist you’ve inspired and every fan who loves you, we wish you a happy retirement,” Martin said.

Although Elton is retiring from touring, his husband and manager, David Furnish, hinted that the musician may still perform in special events or limited residencies in the future.

As Elton steps away from the road, his impact on music and live performance remains unparalleled. Fans celebrate his incredible legacy, knowing his artistry will continue to resonate for generations to come.
